Specifying Solder Preforms

This is arguably the greatest time in history to be a consumer. A quick trip to the grocery store for something as simple as milk becomes a series of choices: do I want brand “A” or brand “B”? Should I get whole milk or 2%? Which size container is right for me? We are a long way from just asking for ‘milk’ and being handed a generic container of milk.

As the product in question becomes more technical, we generally have more and more choices to make. Making a technical decision on which cellphone or laptop to buy can become quite complex.

Just as with the milk example, there are choices that need to be made when selecting a solder preform for your application:
