PV interconnect products have a lot of nicknames: tabbing ribbon, interconnect wire, bus bar, stringing ribbon, etc. I wish I could say the dimensions are only as various as the names we use to describe them. Along with copper thickness, width, and solder alloy and thickness, make sure to include all the criteria that are important to you. Monday, December 5, 2011 by Jim H:: Hello Jesus, As a general rule, c-Si modules producing less than 250 watts can use any of the standard size tabbing ribbons. (For instance 2mm x .1mm) Proper cross sectional area is especially important above 250 watts, proper thickness will be determined in relation to the thickness of the metallization on the cell. Feel free to send me an email with details and we can determine the proper dimensions for your application.
