Semicon West is a great event for engineers like us.  Whether you’re involved in front-end or back-end manufacture, this event has more equipment, materials, and services than you can fully explore in 2 ½ days.  The hosting city (San Francisco) also has an overwhelming amount of things to do while you are there.  I’ve put together a list of things to do at the show, both during exhibit hours and when you have a few minutes to yourself.

1) Stop by the Indium booth at 2pm on Tuesday, I’ll be there with the masters of flux measurement, Fries Research & Technology and Cyber Technologies.

2) Take a ride down Lombard St

3) Ride a trolley

4) Enjoy a presentation, short course, or workshop at the show

5) Visit the Pier 39 carnival

6) Meet someone at the show that you’ve only read about

7) Have a chocolate shake at Mel’s Diner

8) Take a tour of Alcatraz Prison at night

9) Invite an industry partner out to dinner

10) Go see Bucketman on Geary & Market St
