Spam officially means “spiced ham” however I would argue that Spam = a simple packaged meat. This is much like our S.P.A.M = Semiconductor Packaging Materials. Both are fantastic packaged materials.

This is the very end of an essay I received recently: ...So, in summary, the creators of Spam must be credited with the ideas of hermetically sealing to maintain freshness and durability to withstand the dangers that every can of Spam may encounter in an emergency situation. Obviously, as with the semiconductor field, packaging can be extremely important to the effect of the overall end product. I hear you have prizes : ) - Bob B.
